Izmir is the third largest city in Turkey and has an important commercial and industrial position. This city’s commercial advantage is that it is located next to the bay of Izmir and has ports in this area. One of the most beautiful views in this city is the shores of the Aegean Sea from Izmir.

This city is also called the jewel of the Aegean Sea. Izmir is considered one of Turkey’s most important touristic cities, which hosts many tourists from all over the world every year.

Turkish people themselves call this city beautiful Izmir. The south of Izmir has a large number of beautiful sandy beaches. Also, numerous historical monuments, mineral waters, and spectacular tourist attractions show that Izmir is worth visiting.

The First reason that is Izmir worth visiting is that it is economical compared to other Turkish tourist cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, and Antalya because it is less famous. If you want to travel to Turkey at a reasonable price, traveling to Izmir will be the most logical choice.

Also, those who want to travel to Turkey forever and live in this country can choose Izmir because the cost of living in Izmir is lower, and the facilities they receive are similar to the big cities of this country.

If you are looking for peace, Izmir can be a good option. Cities such as Istanbul and Antalya attract many tourists, which makes it difficult to book a hotel and use city services. But in Izmir, you will not face these problems at all, and you can go whenever you want. You can easily book a hotel in this city and travel there.

I didn’t have any problems traveling to this city myself. I easily traveled to this city from Istanbul on a direct flight, checked into the hotel I had booked in advance, and stayed there for a few days.

According to my experience, Izmir is one of the safest cities in Turkey. The rate of theft is much lower than in Istanbul, and you can easily walk in its streets without worrying about your belongings being stolen. However, Istanbul is not like this, and I always worried about my belongings being stolen.

I do not recommend traveling to this city for people looking for nightlife and who like to experience excitement. Still, I recommend this city to people interested in visiting historical places and living peacefully.

At the end

In this article, I discussed whether is Izmir worth visiting or not, and I said that Izmir city in Turkey is one of the most important cities in this country politically.

Although it is not as important as Istanbul and Antalya, it is considered one of the important metropolises of Turkey. Even though it is a beautiful metropolis, it is cheaper than similar cities in Turkey. In this city, you can walk on the beaches, go fishing, restaurants and night cafes, and enjoy walking around.

Izmir also has water activities; of course, they are more limited than Istanbul water parks. Anyway, water activities in this city are cheaper than in the two mentioned cities.
