Tourists should choose one of these markets according to the products they intend to buy. In the following, I introduce 3 of the most famous Sunday markets in Istanbul.

Sunday Beylikduzu market

One of the most popular Sunday markets in Istanbul is the Beylikdüzü Sunday Market, which I suggest you include in your schedule to visit this market. If you love traditional and crowded markets, “Sunday Bazaar Beylikdüzü ” is an event you will be interested in. Sellers in this market sell all kinds of handicrafts and local foods and sweets from Istanbul and Turkey at meager prices.

To access Beylikdüzü Night Market, take the M1A metro line and head towards Ataturk Airport. Get off the train at Ataköy station and then go to Şirinevler station. At this station, get on the 34BZ line and head towards Beylikduzu. After arriving at Güzelyurt station, you can get off the bus and take a short walk to the Beylikdüzü Sunday market.

Mecidiye market on Sunday

Mecidiye is the name of a neighborhood in the Sisli district of Istanbul. Most sellers sell agricultural products, and few sell clothes in this market. The bad thing about this market is that some sellers are rude.

The prices of products in this market are high, and I do not suggest tourists visit it to buy the products they need. The streets of this market are narrow, and there are few parking spaces to park cars, so I suggest you go to this market by public transportation.

To access the Mecidiye market, you can go to the Yenikapı metro station and take the M2 metro line to Haji Othman. Then get off the train at Sisli station and walk a few steps to Mecidiye Bazaar. If you visit this attractive market, I suggest you visit the Profilo shopping center afterward.

Suppose you love antiques and would like to buy such attractive products at affordable prices. In that case, I suggest you go to Ferikoy Bazaar on Sunday and visit this lovely and memorable antique market in Istanbul. In this market, you can buy old things like magazines (Turkish and German), watches, pens and personal photos.

Unlike the two markets I introduced above, this Sunday market is worth visiting and can entertain you for hours.

Ferikoy Sunday Market is located near the Sisli Mosque, and there are several paths in front of you to access this market. If you are in Taksim Square, you can walk to Sunday Ferikoy market in 30 minutes, and if you plan to go to this market by subway, you can get off the train at Haji Othman station and walk a little to the Sunday Ferikoy market.
