Top 2 Bodrum Water Parks | My Visiting Experience

Bodrum has several large and well-equipped water parks, which many tourists are unaware of because the City is more famous for its sandy beaches, historical sites, coastal villages, and nightlife.

The two water parks, Dedeman and Pirates Inn Cactus, are among the most popular in this City that I have visited, and I intend to share my experience of visiting them with you.

Dedeman Bodrum Aquapark  

Undoubtedly, the first choice of every tourist in Bodrum is Dedeman Bodrum Aquapark  because this water park, with an area of 35,000 square meters, is the city’s largest and most equipped water park.

This water park is 8 km from the city center, and the best option is to take a private car or a taxi.

The first slide that caught my eye when I entered this water park was the U-shaped slide at the top. Although it was far from the park’s entrance, I first rode this slide. When I got close to this slide, seeing the high height of the slide with a slope of almost 90 degrees, I was filled with excitement and stress.

Two people are needed to use this slide, so I went to the top with one other person. The speed of descent from this slide was so high that I could hardly keep my eyes open. If you want to experience a lot of excitement, ride this slide.

The spiral slide with four colors—red, yellow, green, and blue—is one of the most exciting slides in this water park because everything is dark in it, and it made my heart palpitate. You should know that these four slides that have different colors are not different from each other; only their colors are different.

The white free fall slide and other tunnel-shaped and slides were among the most exciting slides in this water park that attracted my attention. There are about 15 slides in this water park; some slides you rode in rings, and others were just on your back.

Of course, 350 meters from the lazy river in this water park is one of its best entertainment. When I was tired of walking and excitement, I lay down on a rubber ring and let myself go in the flow of this river; I got away from all the excitement and bustle for a few minutes. Being such a relaxing place in a crowded water park like Dedeman is enjoyable. But you should note that the number of rubber rings in this river is limited and to get one of them you have to wait for someone to drop one of them so that you can use it.

In addition to the exciting slides I mentioned, this water park has many other facilities, including a massage, fitness sauna, children’s land, artificial waves, and different exciting pools. This water park has free lockers and many sunbeds that you can use.

Restaurants, shopping centres, parking lots, ATMs, bathrooms, and medical services are other facilities in this water park.

The cost of my lunch at this water park was about 10 dollars, which was a reasonable price. One thing you should know is that you will be given a card to use the services and buy food, and you have to Top Up the card and pay through it. If there is any money left at the end, it will not be returned to you. You have to spend it all.

Also, some slides were closed from 12:00 to 14:00 for rest and lunch, which was a negative point.

I paid $35 for a pre-purchased ticket. But those who buy tickets at the last minute may pay up to $45. Entry is free for children under 7 years old.

Dedeman Water Park is closed during the winter and cold and rainy days of the year Because it is an outdoor Water Park. So be sure to check the weather and whether this water park is open before you go.

I suggest you leave the water park at 15:00 and return to the hotel because after 16:00, everyone leaves the water park, and there will be a few buses and taxis to take you to the hotel, and it will be crowded.

Pirates Inn Cactus Aquapark

This water park is smaller than Dedeman Bodrum Aquapark  and has fewer slides, but the old texture and special slides of this water park have attracted many tourists.

This water park is more suitable for younger people and those who want to go to a water park with their families. It is also cleaner than the Dedeman water park and you can use all its facilities in about 3 hours.

The first time you go to this water park, the black slide with the dragon’s head is the first thing you will see. The main feature of this high-speed slide is its attractive and colourful lights inside.

Before riding this slide, coordinate with the photographers of the complex to record your exit from the dragon’s mouth.

Below I have mentioned some of the slides of Pirates Inn Cactus Aquapark:

Tunnel freefall: There are only two things in this slide: darkness and speed. It is so fast that you reach the end in a few seconds.

Multi Slide: Speed, lots of slopes with lots of turns, making me feel like I was hitting the ground at every turn.

Black hole: If you have a phobia of drowning in the ocean, do not try this slide at all.

In general, this water park is well managed. It is also very clean. By buying a ticket to this complex, I can have hot and cold drinks for free, but ice cream, food and other snacks have separate costs.

Showers, restaurants, parking, clinics, children’s section, etc., are other water park facilities.

The entrance fee to this water park is about 20 dollars, and it is free for children under 7 years old.
