History and culture of Abu Dhabi

Today, there are many archeological findings in Abu Dhabi. Some evidence has been found about the first cities in this city, which date back to three thousand years BC. The early lifestyle in Abu Dhabi was nomadic, with herding and fishing.

After years, the people of this city turned to the pearl trade, but in 1930, the world recession hit this trade.
The search for oil in Abu Dhabi began in 1939, and in 1958, huge oil reserves were discovered in the city’s land and sea areas. Thus, until 1962, Abu Dhabi’s oil exports increased significantly and brought incredible wealth.

From that day until today, the officials of this city have tried to make the development of the UAE and attract tourists to this city with oil revenues.
