For this reason, I entered the website www.evisa.gov.tr/en and received my visa by entering my passport information and paying $50.

This system allows for a tourist visa as quickly and efficiently for traveling to Turkey. The cost of applying for an e-visa varies based on your nationality and costs around $20 to $100, and the visa must be obtained at least 48 hours before travel.

If you have citizenship in one of the countries that do not require a visa, you can travel to Turkey and stay there for up to 90 days.

Documents required to apply for a Turkish tourist visa

To receive e-Visa in 2024, applicants must submit the following documents:

Visa application processing time

Obtaining a Turkish tourist visa for some nationalities may take up to 15 days. You can track the approval process of your visa application through the website evisa.gov.tr.

Duration of residence permit in Turkey 

In most countries, a tourist visa is issued for three months, and these people can only stay in the destination country for a maximum of this time. Turkey cannot be an exception to this rule, so people who enter Turkey can remain in this country for up to three months.

If people must stay in Turkey for more than three months, they must go to the Turkish embassy and apply for Turkish residence through a study or work visa. Otherwise, they must pay the Overstay fine when leaving Turkey.
