96% of the people of Dubai are Muslims; for this reason, many mosques have been built in this city so that people can pray and worship. Islam has special rules. For example, women should cover their whole body with clothes and wear modest clothes; for this reason, you should wear clothes related to Islam when entering places such as mosques and respect the Islamic religion and the people of Dubai.

According to my experience of traveling to Dubai, tourists are somewhat free to wear whatever clothes they want, but in religious places, they must dress according to Islamic rules.

Women’s clothing | Dubai mosque dress code

The religion of Islam is more sensitive to women’s clothing than men’s and has forced women to cover their entire body except for their hands and face; for this reason, when you want to enter the mosques of Dubai, you should wear a full dress and not wear a skirt or a T-shirt.

If you don’t wear proper clothes while visiting mosques in Dubai, you will be prevented from entering the mosque.  I suggest women wear a long shirt with a pair of jeans and a scarf so their hair is not visible.

You can borrow suitable clothes (Abaya & Shayla) at the entrance of the mosque and return them when you leave the mosque.

The restrictions on men’s clothing in Islam are less than women’s. Men cannot wear T-shirts and shorts to enter Dubai mosques and must wear pants. I suggest men wear jeans and a shirt to be allowed to enter the mosque.
