That’s why I went to this market with great enthusiasm to buy some clothes, but when I entered, I realized that the price of clothes in the shops around the Bazaar was lower than that of clothes inside the Bazaar.
When I first entered the Grand Bazaar, I saw various shops such as jewellery shops, candy shops, and spice shops, but I did not see any clothes shops. After a short walk along the same street I entered, I found different clothing stores, each trying to attract me to buy from them.
Since the old bazaar of Istanbul has many streets, it may not be possible for a tourist to find a specific shop among the winding streets of the bazaar, so in this article, I am not going to describe every clothing store in the bazaar. Instead, I want to talk about the types of clothes that are sold in this market along with their prices and tell you crucial points that the sellers don’t want you to know.

The price of clothes and accessories varies from one shop to another in the bazaar, and if you have a little negotiation and bargaining skills, you can buy the clothes you want at a lower price.
For example, the Prada bag pictured below cost 185 dollars in one shop and about 200 dollars in another.
You should also know that the quality of clothes in the grand bazaar varies, and the higher the price of the clothes, the higher the quality.
My experience of buying clothes in Istanbul Grand Bazaar
I am very interested in the Italian brand “Stone Island”, and for this reason, I was looking to buy a T-shirt from the Stone Island brand in the Grand Bazaar. I visited different shops until I found it in one shop for 22 dollars.
I was surprised by the low price of this T-shirt because the cost of this brand’s T-shirts on its official site is around $300. After talking to the seller, I found out that this T-shirt was fake and produced in Türkiye. The quality of this T-shirt was high, and that’s why I bought two of them at a bargain price of $38.
One of the exciting points in the Grand bazaar is that every seller has a secret warehouse. If you don’t find the clothes you want in the main store, selle will take you to that secret warehouse and give you the clothes you want!
According to my experience, 90% of the clothes sold in this market are fake and made in Turkey. So, it would help if you were careful when buying so that sellers do not cheat you and sell you fake clothes instead of original clothes.
What brands can be found in the Grand bazaar?
You can find fake products of any brand you can imagine in this market. All kinds of clothes from Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Valentino, Chanel, etc. are sold in this market.
In every shop I entered, I saw a variety of foreign brands. Still, I did not know how these shops had obtained the license to sell these goods because the sale of these clothes in other European countries and the United States of America by the shop Unofficial is illegal.
